DASSY PUMPING STATION

CUSTOMER: SAPHIR (REUNION ISLAND HYDRO-AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION)
LOCATION: DASSY, REUNION ISLAND
Missions:
Construction of a pumping station with a capacity of 970m³/h and a head of 185 m (water and electrical supply, hook-up to the existing remote management system).
The F&M solution:

Feljas & Masson can handle the entire chain of design, development and commissioning of pumping stations - from installing medium-voltage power supply to remote management, sizing and fitting pump blocks, installing low voltage electrical equipment and handling equipment.

Key data:
The metropolitan authority of the South of the Island decided there was a need to ensure adequate drinking water supply in the network's middle section by creating, as an alternative to the Hirondelles and Pont du Diable intakes, the possibility of a backup supplied by the Saphir's water supply network. To do this, the pumping capacity from the Dassy pumping station was doubled and a second booster station installed between the Epidor Hoarau and A.B. Louvins reservoirs. The A.B. Louvins reservoir, head of the gravity supply for the Pont du Diable (Le Tampon upper town sector) will be able to flow into the Leveneur reservoir (Ville Hirondelles sector), thereby providing the additional capacity sought.
