REMOTE MANAGEMENT PROJECT FOR ANTANANARIVO'S WATER SUPPLY

		CUSTOMER: JIRAMA

		LOCATION: ANTANANARIVO, MADAGASCAR

		Missions:
Installation of a remote management system to monitor the operating status of 40 vital points (pumping stations, reservoirs, etc.). This involved supplying and installing instrumentation, radio transmission equipment and the supervision center.

The F&M solution:Given the town's hilly terrain, a study of radio transmissions validated by tests was needed. Using industrial software, Feljas & Masson developed a computer-based supervisory system. The company also trained the employees of Jirama, the company operating the site, and provided monitoring assistance during the warranty period. Feljas & Masson is one of the few players in this field able to provide in-house expertise that combines hydraulics and remote management.

		Key data:
The population of Antananarivo, capital of Madagascar, is close to 2 million. JIRAMA operates the drinking water supply network. To gain a better overall view of the status of network's vital points, JIRAMA chose Feljas et Masson to set up a remote management (SCADA) system to cover the city. The project was funded by Europe.
