Replacement of all equipment on the 3 dewatering sites, each with a capacity of 500 l/s and 2 MW. Replacement of all the rainwater drainage station's equipment with a flow rate of 2,500 l/s and power of 2 MW. Installation of a remote management system for the whole sector.
Drawing on its expertise, Feljas & Masson carried out an assessment of the existing sites and provided the solution best adapted to the current facilities. The company configured the equipment using a scanner which had already proven effective in the rehabilitation of other hydraulic installations.
Algeria is currently developing many irrigation projects to assure the country's food self-sufficiency. Feljas & Masson participated in one such project to rehabilitate the pumping systems required to irrigate the Ain Skouna municipality, i.e. an area covering 1,500 hectares. Situated in the province of Saïda, the rehabilitated pumps will prevent the cultivated fields from flooding and will irrigate the plain thereby improving agricultural production in the region.
